Howdy

It's been almost two weeks since leaving the states and I've finally got the opportunity to sit down and update everyone! We spent the first week and a half living at the J-Life campsite but have now moved into a duplex at Kimiad, which is about 40 minutes away. The good thing is that we're now only about 10 minutes outside of Heidleburg.

Internet is very expensive and unreliable once you get outside of the city, so we are going to forego any connection at home and just use the free wireless internet at Maggie's CafĂ© in town. I'll hopefully be able to come in a couple times a week, buy a cup of coffee and use the internet for a little bit…. Most of my time will be spent following the Rangers.

I have actually been able to watch a little bit of TV over the last couple of weeks because one of the residents at J-Life has satellite. I've been following the Tour de France each day (it's either that or soccer) and was able to watch the final round of The Open last weekend… so I've got that going for me.

My experience so far has been an amazing one. The people I'm working with at J-Life are great and South Africa is unbelievable. Like I said, until last night I've been staying at J-Life, which is in the middle of a 4,000-acre farm full of prairies and mountains… the sunrises are indescribable. (Pictures to come, if I can figure out how to work a digital camera.)

That's all for now but I hope you are all well and thank you so much for the prayers and support!

Don't know if Liz shared our blog with you so you can keep up with us folks back here in Texas. We don't have your email to send it to you directly. Our page is at http://www.dyerfamily4blogger.blogspot.com/

Glad to hear from you. We will have to let you be our eyes and ears since the parentals are slackers at emailing.

Lack of skill on a digital camera is no excuse! Clearly you ARE in southern Italy, soaking up the sun. that's why there are no pictures, cause we'd notice the ocean in the background. Seriously, we're glad you're having a good time and we have plans of more "wig of wisdom" to come at the beach. Love ya! The Jones

Andrew, this is Becca. I am so glad to hear from you. You are amazing!!! I am glad you are having the time of your life...Do you mind if I ask you some questions? I was wondering why it is that J life can get internet 50 mins outside of town and where you living 10 min out you can not? And as far as the cost, what does it cost? In the budget it says that it cost approx $70, I am thinking that amount was given by John and since you all are about 100% funded why is it a problem> I am sorry to ask you all these questions, but David and Liz are not communicating with us. They told us that we would be able to talk to you on the phone, not true, they said they we would have skype, not true... so what is the truth? Was ya'lls budget cut? I know that Sav and Brent's funds have been cut for the remander of the year. Becasue if this is about funds, maybe I can raise some for you. I just feel like that nothing that was supose to be is, and I also feel like we are being completly shut out of your lives. Do all 3 of you have cell phones? What about a car, will all 3 of you share a car? Does that mean when you move to Jlife you will be without a car? What does your day schedule like? what abut the kids? Is where you are living apart of Jlife campus? I thought you were all going to live at camp eden? Is that where you are? Thanks for whatever info you can give me, we miss you alot. I have enjoyed talking (skyping) with you mom, she is great!!
love you all so much!! Becca
Give grace and Matthew a hugg for us!!!
